Børge Mogensen

A trained cabinetmaker and architect from Aalborg, Denmark, Børge Mogensen favoured classical, simple and functional design. Working alongside Kaare Klint, the father of modern Danish furniture design, Mogensen was an early innovator in integrated storage solutions as well as a prolific furniture designer. In the 1950s and 60s he created some of the most recognised furniture classics, including the Shaker table together with the BM1 CHAIR and the BM2 CHAIR. In 1972, he was awarded the Honorary Royal Designer for Industry in London.
